About the Company

What started with our signature Scallop Lampshade has led to a thoughtful collection of unique homewares that offer both personality and purpose. Guiding the process from initial sketches to final product, founder Matilda designs homewares to be truly lived with.

We have ambitious plans for our business in the UK and oversees and are thrilled to be expanding the team with a Creative Content Designer & Community Marketer role.

The Role

Working with our Creative Lead you will play a pivotal role in the visual output of the brand, crafting compelling content that aligns with our brand's aesthetic and ethos.  You will manage our social media channels and create diverse content types for social media and our website, leveraging your skills in design, photography, videography, writing, and editing. Engaging with our community, responding to comments and direct messages, and interacting with influential partners will be key. You'll manage our content library, conduct market research to stay ahead of trends, and analyse the success of our marketing efforts by tracking key metrics.

It is a great opportunity for someone who is already engaged with the homewares industry, has strong content creation skills and is on the pulse of the ever-changing social media landscape. A proactive, can-do approach is essential.

    Responsibilities

    • Social Media Management: Manage our social media channels; Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Tiktok (not yet live) to ensure that there is a steady stream of high-quality content being produced and published.
    • Content Creation: Create a range of content types for our social media and website blog using your own design, photography, videography, writing and editing skills.
    • Community engagement: respond to comments, DM’s and interact with key influential partners accounts. 
    • Content Library: Manage our content library; organising, storing, and retrieving content as needed to ensure it is easily usable by the whole company.
    • Market Research: continually monitoring emerging trends, and competitor activity to inform strategy.
    • Analysis: Analyse the success of content, social and community marketing efforts. This includes tracking metrics weekly such as engagement, website traffic and purchase data to determine the effectiveness of your work.
    • Partnerships: Identify relevant people, brands, businesses and places we could be engaging with.
    • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the internal team to ensure marketing communications plan implemented in line with schedule. 
    • Events: Support 360 planning around photoshoots and special projects such as Pop ups, collaborations, gifting and local engagement programs 
    • Brand Reporting: Constructively report to the internal team on brand perception using insights from analytics with a solution-based approach.

     The successful candidate will have: 

    • An eagerness to become an integral part of the company's creative engine
    • Be passionate about social media and continuously engaged with the ever-changing landscape
    • Ability to craft compelling stories and tell them utilising different creative formats.
    • Great content creation skills and experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, Express), Canva or similar creative software.
    • Experience in scheduling tools such as Later.
    • Knowledge of developing social media trends and platform developments.
    • A passion for written and visual communication  
    • Strong writing skills
    • Reporting and analytics know how
    • A good communicator able to provide evidence based feedback
    • A drive to get a broad insight into the marketing function of a small business 
    • 1 years’ experience minimum in a similar role
